WebMD Ignite New Parent Insights Survey – Privacy Statement
Who We Are. This Privacy Statement describes how Mercury Healthcare, Inc. dba WebMD Ignite (“WebMD Ignite,” “we,” or “us”), 283-299 Market Street, Gateway Center 2, 4th Floor, Newark, NJ 07102, handles information you provide through the New Parent Insights Survey (the “Survey”). It applies to the Survey wherever you access it and does not govern the website through which you reached the Survey. If you reached the Survey from a website operated by a healthcare provider or other organization, that organization’s privacy notice governs your use of its website.
What We Collect
Survey Responses. We collect the answers you provide, which may include information about your experiences, preferences, and recollection of health information and advertising. Do not include your name, contact details, or any information identifying you or another person in your responses.
Entry Information. If you choose to enter the gift card drawing, we collect your email address at the end of the Survey. Entry is optional; you may complete the Survey without entering.
Technical Information. Our Survey administrator collects limited technical information, such as browser type and the date and time of submission, to operate the Survey and detect duplicate or automated entries.
How the Survey is Administered. We use SurveyMonkey as our Survey administrator. SurveyMonkey processes information on our behalf and under our instructions and may not use it for its own purposes. SurveyMonkey’s handling of information as a service provider is described in its own privacy notice.
Separation of Responses and Entry Information. Your email address is collected separately from your Survey responses and is not linked to them. We use your email address to administer the drawing, including notifying the selected winner and fulfilling the requirements in the Official Rules. We do not use it to contact you about your responses.
How We Use Information.
Research. We use Survey responses to conduct brand-recall and market research, including measuring the effectiveness of advertising and content.
Business Materials. We may use research findings in aggregated, de-identified form in proposals, business development materials, and similar communications. Aggregated findings do not identify you.
Drawing Administration. We use entry information to conduct the drawing, verify eligibility, notify and contact winners, deliver prizes, and satisfy tax, recordkeeping, and other legal requirements.
When We Share Information. We do not sell your information or use it for targeted advertising. We share information only with service providers that support the Survey or the drawing and are bound to use it only as we direct, and where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights or the rights of others.
How Long We Keep Information. We retain entry information for as long as needed to administer the drawing and meet the recordkeeping obligations in the Official Rules, including the winners-list period, and then delete it. We retain Survey responses in de-identified form for research purposes.
Children. The Survey is intended for individuals 18 or older, consistent with the eligibility requirements in the Official Rules. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your Choices and Rights. Participation is voluntary and you may exit the Survey at any time before submitting. Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, and to appeal a denial of your request. Because Survey responses are not linked to your identity, we may be unable to locate responses associated with you. To make a request, contact us at hospitalpoc@WebMD.net.
Contact Us. Questions about this Privacy Statement may be directed to WebMD Ignite at hospitalpoc@webMD.net, or by mail at the address in Section 1. Questions about the drawing should be directed to the Sponsor contact in the Official Rules.
Changes. We may update this Privacy Statement. Changes take effect when posted, and the effective date above will reflect the most recent version.
